2009 AAFCS Awards Program
Thank you for your interest in the AAFCS awards program.
Please check this web page in the fall of 2008 for
information on what awards may be offered after a special
task force completes its review of the current program.
As a result of the AAFCS board of directors’ priority to
reduce staff time allocated for administration of awards,
grants, fellowships, and scholarships, a contract was awarded
to a consultant to recommend a redesign of the entire process.
After an extensive review of all the data available, a redesign
advisory task force was created to review the recommendations
for the AAFCS Awards, Grants, Fellowships, and Scholarships
programs. Members examined existing practices,
provided feedback to an outside consulting firm, and collaborated
to introduce recommendations to the AAFCS board of directors
for approval.
With members representing a variety of committees, staff
positions, and professional backgrounds, the task force is
pleased and eager to share their suggestions with the rest
of the Association. Such procedural recommendations will improve
the effectiveness, efficiency, and affordability of the AAFCS
Awards, Grants, Fellowships, and Scholarships program management.
Stay tuned for more information, including 2009 guidelines
and forms!
